In this one, you can hear the director snapping to keep time, to keep the song moving because it's something of a human tendency (in my opinion) to "wallow" in emotional songs. This melodic and smooth song is definitely a song you can wallow in if you're not careful. All the more reason you have to keep the forward momentum of the piece.
Toward the end, we sing "someday we'll all be gone" and there's a lift in the music that you can only pay attention to if you're looking up. I think it's a sweet reminder in the music to pay attention. To breathe. To look up. Instead of just barrelling through life (which I am so use…
