The final performance of this song is magical and the rehearsal track does not do this one justice AT ALL. I was chosen to be part of the quartest singing the solo eventually and y'all, it was the coolest damn thing to stand in front of the bass section when the come in in the 4 stanza. Like magical. I will never forget that as long as I live.

Subtle. Going flat, changing keys. All so subtle and requires a ton of work to keep the pitch up. Literally, you have to work to keep it where it's supposed to be. And as part of the quartet soloists, we had to work twice as hard to listen to the choir and to each other while blending. It's SOOOO much easier to sing a solo in with a choir because you actually don't have to work to blend twice, lol
